As Hood River's oldest hotel, it features 41 uniquely decorated rooms complete with antique furnishings. Built in 1911, the existing hotel was actually originally an addition to the original Mount Hood Hotel, which was torn down in 1920 due to fire hazard. The hotel was restored in 1988 to maintain many of its original features, including the brass elevator and marble fireplace in the lobby.
